Heto“Comeafterme,andIwillyoufishersformen.”
The first disciples were not in a classroom. They were mending nets. Jesus’ invitation was a walking invitation: come after me. Following is a path, not a poster.
Lent is a good time to ask, who are we walking behind? Jesus still calls children. You can follow him at school, in line, and when no one is clapping.
Prayer
Jesus, we want to come after you. Show us the next step in this house. Amen.
Challenge
Walk around the block or the hallway in silence for one minute, then say, we are following Jesus.
For the adult
Name one concrete follow-through for tomorrow, not a life plan.
