Privacy
ChristForKids is a reading and printing site for a child sitting with a parent, teacher, or other trusted adult. It is built to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
No child accounts
There is no signup for children, no password, and no profile. A child can open a chapter, a feeling, or a coloring page without giving a name, email, or age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
What stays on this device
A few things are saved in this browser’s local storage, and nowhere else on our servers:
- Which of the 52 weekly stories you have marked read.
- Which verses you have filled in, and which of the 52 weekly stories those marks belong to.
- The print packet: the list of sheets waiting to print.
Clearing this browser’s site data removes them. Another phone or computer does not see them.
Parent and teacher email
The weekly printable pack asks for an adult email. That form is for parents and teachers. If a signup service is connected, the address, the page you were on, and the time are sent to that service. If it is not connected yet, the address stays in this browser only and is not emailed. You can remove it by clearing site data.
Bible lookups
When you look up a passage, the reference is sent to bible-api.com so the public-domain text can come back. A server key for api.bible is used only if the site operator has configured one. The chapter pages themselves are already on this site and do not need that request.
Advertising
The site does not run ads and does not use advertising cookies or profiles. Any future ad placement would stay in this same rule: no accounts for children, and no behavioral advertising aimed at them.
