🌿 Lent · Lent week 5
🏃 The Father Who Ran
A child turns toward home and finds a father already running.
Luke 15:20 · Luke 15
““He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”
Say it
Practice Luke 15:20
Tap the words in order. The blanks follow the verse from left to right.

The younger son wasted what he had been given. The walk home was long. The surprise is the father: he saw, he felt, he ran. Mercy had shoes on.
Lent is a road home, not a museum of guilt. If someone in the family needs to say sorry, let the verse set the ending: a kiss, not a lecture that never stops. God is not slow to meet you.
Prayer
Father, we are coming home. Run toward us and teach us to run toward each other. Amen.
Challenge
If anyone needs to apologize, do it before bed and then share a small treat.
For the adult
Do not force a performance of sorry. Model the father’s speed.
