🕯️ A Light in the Dark
God promises that dark rooms and long waits will not last forever.

Some nights feel like a hallway with no lamp. Isaiah spoke to people who knew that feeling. They were tired of waiting. Then God gave them a sentence they could carry: a great light is already on the way, and it is not a trick.
Advent is not pretending the dark is fine. It is lighting one candle and saying, we are still watching. You can sit by a window tonight and name one thing you hope God will make right. Hope is not a wish you invent. It is a light God promised first.
Prayer
God of light, the wait feels long. Shine on the dark places in our house and keep us watching with you. Amen.
Challenge
Turn off one extra lamp for a minute, then turn it back on and say Isaiah 9:2 out loud.
For the adult
Keep this week simple: one candle, one verse, no extra crafts unless a child asks.
