✨ Abraham and the Stars
God calls Abraham to a new land and promises a family as countless as the stars.
Abraham was already old when God said, “Go to a land I will show you.” God promised to make his family into a great nation and to bless the whole world through them. Abraham and Sarah packed up their tents and went, even though they did not have a map with the ending drawn on it.
Years passed. The promise of a child still had not come. One night Abraham stood under a sky so full of stars it looked spilled. God said, “Look up. Count them if you can. That is how big your family will be.”
Abraham believed God. He did not understand the timing, and he still trusted the One who made the stars. Believing God was the most important thing Abraham did that night. Later, a baby named Isaac would laugh in Sarah’s tent, and the promise would keep going, all the way to Jesus.
Some of God’s good plans take longer than a bedtime. You can look at the night sky and remember that God is not guessing. If you belong to Jesus, you are part of the family Abraham could not finish counting.
“He believed in Yahweh, who credited it to him for righteousness.”
