⭐ Christmas · Christmas Day
🎁 A Savior in David’s City
The gift is a person, born in a real town, for a real family.
Luke 2:11 · Luke 2
“For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Say it
Practice Luke 2:11
Tap the words in order. The blanks follow the verse from left to right.
Forthereistoyoutoday,incity,aSavior,whoistheLord.
The angel did not say “a cute idea was born.” He said a Savior was born to you today. Bethlehem was a small town with a big promise attached. God kept it.
Presents are fun. They are not the point. The point is that God came close enough to hold. Thank him for one gift that is not wrapped: a person at the table, a warm bed, the name of Jesus.
Prayer
Christ the Lord, you were born for us. Thank you for coming all the way into our world. Amen.
Challenge
Before the first present, read Luke 2:11 and let the youngest person say Savior.
For the adult
If emotions run high, return to the verse. It is sturdier than the wrapping paper.
