Singing
Singing is a way to pray when speaking feels too small. The psalms were written to be sung.
1. Isaiah 62:9
“but those who have harvested it will eat it, and praise Yahweh; and those who have gathered it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.””
2. Psalms 43:5
“Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.”
3. Hebrews 13:15
“Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name.”
4. Genesis 29:35
“She conceived again, and bore a son. She said, “This time will I praise Yahweh.” Therefore she named him Judah. Then she stopped bearing.”
5. 1 Chronicles 16:4
“He appointed some of the Levites to minister before Yahweh’s ark, and to commemorate, to thank, and to praise Yahweh, the God of Israel:”
6. Psalms 148:14
“He has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise Yah!”
7. Psalms 63:11
“But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will praise him, for the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced.”
8. Exodus 15:2
“Yah is my strength and song. He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
