🎺 Zechariah 5
Zechariah 5 opens with these words: “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” The line to keep is Zechariah 5:1: “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” Carry the word “lifted” from that verse into the rest of the day.
Zechariah 5 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land” Zechariah 5 opens with these words: “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” The line to keep is Zechariah 5:1: “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” Carry the word “lifted” from that verse into the rest of the day.
The line worth learning out loud is Zechariah 5:1: “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in Zechariah 5? Then try this: Read “Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
