⭐ Psalms 65
Psalms 65 opens with these words: “Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. To you shall vows be performed.” The line to keep is Psalms 65:5: “By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea;” Carry the word “awesome” from that verse into the rest of the day.
Psalms 65 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, “Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. To you shall vows be performed.” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.” Psalms 65 opens with these words: “Praise waits for you, God, in Zion.
The line worth learning out loud is Psalms 65:5: “By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea;” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in Psalms 65? Then try this: Read “By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends…” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
“By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea;”
