⭐ Psalms 1
Psalms 1 opens with these words: “Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;” The line to keep is Psalms 1:2: “but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.” Carry the word “delight” from that verse into the rest of the day.
Psalms 1 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, “Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.” Psalms 1 opens with these words: “Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;” The line to keep is Psalms 1:2: “but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.” Carry the word “delight” from that verse into the rest of the day.
The line worth learning out loud is Psalms 1:2: “but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in Psalms 1? Then try this: Read “but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
“but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.”
