⭐ Proverbs 25
Proverbs 25 opens with these words: “These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.” The line to keep is Proverbs 25:2: “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” Carry the word “glory” from that verse into the rest of the day.
Proverbs 25 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, “These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “By patience a ruler is persuaded. A soft tongue breaks the bone.” Proverbs 25 opens with these words: “These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.” The line to keep is Proverbs 25:2: “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” Carry the word “glory” from that verse into the rest of the day.
The line worth learning out loud is Proverbs 25:2: “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in Proverbs 25? Then try this: Read “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”
