🪔 Job 19
Job 19 opens with these words: “Then Job answered,” The line to keep is Job 19:6: “know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.” Carry the word “know” from that verse into the rest of the day.
Job 19 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, “Then Job answered,” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “Those who dwell in my house and my maids consider me a stranger. I am an alien in their sight.” Job 19 opens with these words: “Then Job answered,” The line to keep is Job 19:6: “know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.” Carry the word “know” from that verse into the rest of the day.
The line worth learning out loud is Job 19:6: “know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in Job 19? Then try this: Read “know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
“know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.”
