💧 Hosea 2
Hosea 2 opens with these words: ““Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’” The line to keep is Hosea 2:4: “Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; for they are children of unfaithfulness;” Carry the word “indeed” from that verse into the rest of the day.
Hosea 2 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, ““Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, about which she has said, ‘These are my wages that my lovers have given me; and I will make them a forest,’ and the animals of the field shall eat them.” Hosea 2 opens with these words: ““Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’” The line to keep is Hosea 2:4: “Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; for they are children of unfaithfulness;” Carry the word “indeed” from that verse into the rest of the day.
The line worth learning out loud is Hosea 2:4: “Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; for they are children of unfaithfulness;” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in Hosea 2? Then try this: Read “Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; for they are children of unfaithfulness;” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
“Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; for they are children of unfaithfulness;”
