🪔 2 Chronicles 15
2 Chronicles 15 opens with these words: “The Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:” The line to keep is 2 Chronicles 15:12: “They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;” Carry the word “entered” from that verse into the rest of the day.
2 Chronicles 15 is a real chapter from the Old Testament. It starts, “The Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:” That is not a motto invented for a poster. It is the first sentence a family hears when this page is opened at night.
Keep going a little further. The chapter also says, “So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.” 2 Chronicles 15 opens with these words: “The Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:” The line to keep is 2 Chronicles 15:12: “They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;” Carry the word “entered” from that verse into the rest of the day.
The line worth learning out loud is 2 Chronicles 15:12: “They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;” If the rest of the chapter feels crowded, hold that one sentence until the room is quiet.
What happens first in 2 Chronicles 15? Then try this: Read “They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all…” once more. What does it show you about God? You do not have to finish every verse. You can close the book after the memory verse and still have read the Bible together.
“They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;”
