🍞 Telling the truth beside Isaiah 65:16
When telling the truth is loud, Isaiah 65:16 is a sentence you can borrow. “so that he who blesses himself in the earth will bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.” The other two verses on this page stay with the same need.
Telling the truth
“so that he who blesses himself in the earth will bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.”
Isaiah 65:16 · World English Bible
He said,…
“He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, Yahweh has led me on the way to the house of my master’s relatives.””
Genesis 24:27 · World English Bible
I am not worthy…
“I am not worthy of the least of all the loving kindnesses, and of all the truth, which you have shown to your servant; for with just my staff I crossed over this Jordan; and now I have become two companies.”

Pray together
Lord, this is a telling the truth night. Keep Isaiah 65:16 close enough to remember. Amen.
Two-minute challenge
Say Isaiah 65:16 out loud once, then tell one person in the house what feeling it names.
Parent tip
If the feeling is bigger than a verse, stay in the room. Isaiah 65:16 is a companion, not a fix-it line. The other two verses are for a second night if this one is enough.
