🪔 Mourning beside Genesis 50:11
When mourning is loud, Genesis 50:11 is a sentence you can borrow. “When the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, “This is a grievous mourning by the Egyptians.” Therefore its name was called Abel Mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.” The other two verses on this page stay with the same need.

Pray together
Lord, this is a mourning night. Keep Genesis 50:11 close enough to remember. Amen.
Two-minute challenge
Say Genesis 50:11 out loud once, then tell one person in the house what feeling it names.
Parent tip
If the feeling is bigger than a verse, stay in the room. Genesis 50:11 is a companion, not a fix-it line. The other two verses are for a second night if this one is enough.
