💧 Mourning beside Ezra 10:6
When mourning is loud, Ezra 10:6 is a sentence you can borrow. “Then Ezra rose up from before God’s house, and went into the room of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib. When he came there, he ate no bread, nor drank water; for he mourned because of their trespass of the captivity.” The other two verses on this page stay with the same need.

Pray together
Lord, this is a mourning night. Keep Ezra 10:6 close enough to remember. Amen.
Two-minute challenge
Say Ezra 10:6 out loud once, then tell one person in the house what feeling it names.
Parent tip
If the feeling is bigger than a verse, stay in the room. Ezra 10:6 is a companion, not a fix-it line. The other two verses are for a second night if this one is enough.
