🌾 Mourning beside Deuteronomy 26:14
When mourning is loud, Deuteronomy 26:14 is a sentence you can borrow. “I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor given of it for the dead. I have listened to Yahweh my God’s voice. I have done according to all that you have commanded me.” The other two verses on this page stay with the same need.

Pray together
Lord, this is a mourning night. Keep Deuteronomy 26:14 close enough to remember. Amen.
Two-minute challenge
Say Deuteronomy 26:14 out loud once, then tell one person in the house what feeling it names.
Parent tip
If the feeling is bigger than a verse, stay in the room. Deuteronomy 26:14 is a companion, not a fix-it line. The other two verses are for a second night if this one is enough.
