timber in 2 Kings 22

This thing shows up in 2 Kings 22:6: “to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and cut stone to repair the house.” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real thing in a real place.

2 Kings 22:6

“to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and cut stone to repair the house.”

What kids can learn

When you hear timber in 2 Kings, remember the sentence around it. God put this thing in the story on purpose.

Read 2 Kings 22:6 again tomorrow and ask what the thing is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
