This thing shows up in Genesis 8:5: “The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real thing in a real place.

What kids can learn

When you hear tent in Genesis, remember the sentence around it. God put this thing in the story on purpose.

Read Genesis 8:5 again tomorrow and ask what the thing is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
