staff in Judges 6
STAF
This thing shows up in Judges 6:21: “Then Yahweh’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real thing in a real place.
Judges 6:21
“Then Yahweh’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up out of the rock, and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then Yahweh’s angel departed out of his sight.”
What kids can learn
When you hear staff in Judges, remember the sentence around it. God put this thing in the story on purpose.
Read Judges 6:21 again tomorrow and ask what the thing is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
