scroll in Isaiah 34

This thing shows up in Isaiah 34:4: “All of the army of the sky will be dissolved. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, and all its armies will fade away, as a leaf fades…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real thing in a real place.

Isaiah 34:4

“All of the army of the sky will be dissolved. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, and all its armies will fade away, as a leaf fades from off a vine or a fig tree.”

What kids can learn

When you hear scroll in Isaiah, remember the sentence around it. God put this thing in the story on purpose.

Read Isaiah 34:4 again tomorrow and ask what the thing is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
