bronze in 2 Kings 25

This thing shows up in 2 Kings 25:13: “The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of brass that were in Yahweh’s house and the bases and the bronze sea that were in Yahweh’s house, and…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real thing in a real place.

2 Kings 25:13

“The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of brass that were in Yahweh’s house and the bases and the bronze sea that were in Yahweh’s house, and carried the brass pieces to Babylon.”

What kids can learn

When you hear bronze in 2 Kings, remember the sentence around it. God put this thing in the story on purpose.

Read 2 Kings 25:13 again tomorrow and ask what the thing is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
