boat in Matthew 14

This thing shows up in Matthew 14:13: “Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat, to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real thing in a real place.

Matthew 14:13

“Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat, to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.”

What kids can learn

When you hear boat in Matthew, remember the sentence around it. God put this thing in the story on purpose.

Read Matthew 14:13 again tomorrow and ask what the thing is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
