sheep in Genesis 4

SHEEP

This creature shows up in Genesis 4:2: “Again she gave birth, to Cain’s brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real creature in a real place.

Genesis 4:2

“Again she gave birth, to Cain’s brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.”

What kids can learn

When you hear sheep in Genesis, remember the sentence around it. God put this creature in the story on purpose.

Read Genesis 4:2 again tomorrow and ask what the creature is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
