serpent in Genesis 3
SER-pent
This creature shows up in Genesis 3:1: “Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real creature in a real place.
Genesis 3:1
“Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?’””
What kids can learn
When you hear serpent in Genesis, remember the sentence around it. God put this creature in the story on purpose.
