rooster in Mark 14

This creature shows up in Mark 14:30: “Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you, that you today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real creature in a real place.

Mark 14:30

“Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you, that you today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.””

What kids can learn

When you hear rooster in Mark, remember the sentence around it. God put this creature in the story on purpose.

Read Mark 14:30 again tomorrow and ask what the creature is doing in the sentence, not only what it looks like.
