gazelle in Deuteronomy 12
guh-ZEL
This creature shows up in Deuteronomy 12:15: “Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat meat within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to Yahweh your God’s…” The Bible is not talking about a sticker. It is talking about a real creature in a real place.
Deuteronomy 12:15
“Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat meat within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to Yahweh your God’s blessing which he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the deer.”
What kids can learn
When you hear gazelle in Deuteronomy, remember the sentence around it. God put this creature in the story on purpose.
