1 Peter

Written by Peter. Written for Christians scattered and mistreated.

Big picture in three sentences

First Peter is written to outsiders who are suffering.

Peter points them to a living hope through Jesus' resurrection.

He tells them to be holy, to answer gently, and to cast their worries on God.

Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you, is Peter's bedtime line.

Key verse · 1 Peter 5:7

“casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”
